Great Summer Hangout Spot: Hubbard Park Beer Garden

Great Summer Hangout Spot: Hubbard Park Beer Garden

Hubbard Park is sort of hidden away next to a residential neighborhood in Shorewood just south of Capitol Drive. The park is situated right next to the Milwaukee River and intersects with the Oak Leaf Trail that eventually leads through Milwaukee’s east side. For a long time, Hubbard Park has offered a nice clubhouse on site often used for special events and as a wedding space, but in recent years the park expanded to also include a really great beer garden in an incredibly scenic setting.

The beer garden at Hubbard Park is basically composed of an outbuilding where patrons can grab food and drinks, and a bunch of picnic tables idyllically arranged under the shade of old-growth trees. They offer food items like brats, hot dogs, giant pretzels, and cheese platters, and like most beer gardens, bringing your own food is totally acceptable. Hubbard Park Beer Garden offers a ton of draft beers and micros on tap, and other beverages like wine, spiked lemonade, and bloody marys.
